Third Quarterly Meeting
Opening: President Hannah opened the general membership meeting at 4:02 PM. She made the roll call. All Board Members were present except for Softball Supervisor, Curt Barraco, Vice President, Steve Bruno, Chris Vahey, John Lavin. President Hannah did not advise on who, if any, were excused.
Secretary's Report: Secretary Harris submitted the minutes from the October 16, 2011 meeting. They were accepted as presented, without being read.
Treasurer's Report: Treasurer, Bob Devereux presented the current financial information. He reviewed his collection efforts with some of our clients for Football and Basketball outstanding debts.
Individual Division Reports.
Baseball: Supervisor, Mike Orr and Assigner, Bill Donohue revealed their interactive work with school administrators and baseball coaches. They are working on reconciling differences and improving A-1s image with their respective sport. The schools requested a form to be submitted at the beginning of each game with the umpires' names. It was agreed that the division would comply.
Basketball: Assigner, Alan Hannah advised that there were no issues from their division to be brought before the Board.
Football: There was no report from Football, due to no one being present to file a report
Softball: Supervisor, Barraco advised of the upcoming season and reviewed the scheduled practice games, which would be available for game situation umpire training sessions.
Volleyball: Volleyball assigner, Steve Williamson advised that there were no issues to be brought before the Board. He was unsure, at this time, of the Boys' spring season.
Old Business: The only outstanding business is that of possible litigation proceedings with Football and Terry Marshall.
New Business: No new business was presented to the Board.
The meeting was adjourned at 4:52 PM.
